I recently purchased a ZX45 Milling Machine from your website. I am very pleased with the purchase and shopping experience with Bolton Hardware. Prior to committing the purchase, I called and spoke with customer service to ensure delivery details and was assured the unit would ship a soon as possible. I received the well crated unit within 48 hours of placing my order! The Bolton ZX45 is a really beefy mill that was well built and setup. Checking squareness I note that the factory tramming held up well indicating the steel was well seasoned before shipping. The night it arrived I was able to complete a fine mini project, a half dozen T nuts. The units TAPS 3/8 real well with its stock accessories however I would invest in a floating head for 1/4 and smaller.
Note I have the steel base bolted to the floor, however with the mill at +700lbs I am somewhat leery in using the cabinet underneath. The base appears it could use some reinforcement. I am thinking about filling the base with concrete or sand to reduce sound and vibration. Please let me know if you have any recommendations. Lathes are helpful & frees the hands so that tools can be more efficiently utilized. We carry an extensive variety of lathes from metal lathes to mini lathes to combo lathes. Consider using a lathe machine to produce accurate, small parts & performing other tasks like cutting & drilling. Lathes can now be purchased with different chucks & other lathes accessories.
